Going to Charleston, SC for the weekend!
Should I go tofor the weekend ?
My mother’s entire family is going, about 15 of us, and will be staying at a friends house across the street from the ocean. Not bad, for free um? Or should I set on my ass and do nothing? Well besides watching the 200th episode of Stargate SG1 and of courseas well.
My two favorite shows of all time!
Richard Dean Anderson, former star and executive producer of Stargate SG-1, returns to the series for its historic 200th original episode, airing Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at 9/8C on SCI FI. Production on the episode commenced April 5, 2006, in Vancouver. Anderson, who reprises his role as Gen. Jack O’Neill, will also make special guest appearances in a number of additional episodes of both SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis that will air in the shows 2006-2007 seasons.
Stargate SG-1’s 200th episode, appropriately titled “200,” will center on the SG-1 team as they serve as advisers on a television series that bears remarkable similarities to the goings on at Stargate Command. As they pitch to the producer the many adventures that they have been involved with over the years, the team discovers that truth really is stranger than fiction…but nothing is stranger than the machinations of Hollywood. In addition to Anderson, “200” will feature a guest appearance by fan favorite Willie Garson (Sex & the City).
Currently in production on its tenth original season (its fifth on SCI FI), Stargate SG-1 is now the longest-running science-fiction series on American television, surpassing The X-Files and every iteration of Star Trek.
This is such a hard choice, I thought I better ask my 1 reader. ;)
Anyways, I can either leave tonight, Friday, and come back late Sunday or leave Saturday with the rest of the family and come back next Saturday. Of course if I do that, I will miss the entire first week of fall semester. lol So I doubt that will happen. You never know though, with my bad ass.
I think instead I’ll just stay home this weekend and maybe go visit my long lost father and enjoy the show. Since if I do go to the beach, most of the time will be spent at the grocery store Saturday and cleaning up the house. So not much fun. Then less than 24 hours later coming home, so perhaps half a day at the beach. Well it is only a 3 hour drive, back and forth.
But I think I will pass this time…

My job interview earlier today with the state government program, the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind was a success. I’m hired! :)
Earlier today I had a successful job interview with the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, a state government agency.
I’m 100% positive I got the job, seeing as I have known the interviewer for the past twelve (12) years; that and I am over qualified in terms of school but a lack in experience makes me the prefect test subject. he-he
Any how, I’ll be installing telecommunications equipment for individuals with disabilities. I expect it to be very challenging for the next view weeks. I have to learn sign language and I have to learn how to read braille. Luckily I already know the basics of sign language; that is I can hold a basic conversion with a deaf individual. Learning braille should not be a problem either since I only have to know the very basics.
I’m not sure when I start though. The whole state hiring process is pretty crazy right now. Paper work is a major issue. That is the only issue I feel that I will have major trouble with. Sadly everything must be done by hand. Why, I have no idea. Really sucks! Also, at the moment I will be responsible for the entire state of South Carolina. Which is pretty crazy. Lots of driving, but I am glad they pay you for gas millage.
